Dear Tsinghua Alumni,

It is my great pleasure to work with the new council members to serve San Diego Tsinghua Alumni Association in 2008. Our alumni association is dedicated to providing an environment for Tsinghua Alumni to share information and develop career opportunities. Our alumni association also organizes various social activities and recreational events. In summary, we hope to build a society that our alumni can call home.

We would like to thank all the people who contributed to this society over the past years. Without them, the society would not be what it is now. In the new year, our new council plans to continue bringing the community together.

With that, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new council members:

Ying LI, President, she received her BS degree from Tsinghua Univeristy in 2002. Currently she works for Dexcom, Inc as a research engineer. Meanwhile, she is an active producer for San Diego local Chinese TV station.

Jun SHI, PhD, Vice President, he received the BS and MS degrees from Tsinghua University in 1997 and 2000, respectively. Currently he works for Qualcommm, Inc as a senior engineer. Before that, he was a research scientist with Intel Corporation.

Shaofeng LIU, Outdoor Activity Chair, he received his BS and MS degrees from Tsinghua University in 1999 and 2001 respectively. He is currently a PhD student in Computer Science Department of UCSD.

Jing ZHU, Indoor Activity Chair, she received her BS degree from Department of Computer Science and Technology in 2000. She is currently a PhD student in Computer Science Department of UCSD

Hongbo YAN, PhD, Community Outreach Chair, He received his MS degree from Tsinghua University in 1998. He currently works for Qualcomm, Inc.

Min SUN, Business Relationship Chair, he graduated from Depart of Management Information Systems in Tsinghua University. He currently works for Intuit and before that he worked for Deloitte Consulting.

Ge YAN, PhD, Publicity Chair, he received his BS from Department of Chemistry in Tsinghua University in 2001. Currently he works for a local scientific software company.

Weilin ZENG, Web Manager, he graduated from Department of Computer Science and Technology in Tsinghua University. He currently works for Motorola Inc. as a firmware engineer.

Suzhen LIN, PhD, Treasurer, she received her BS and MS degrees from Tsinghua University in 1999 and 2001 respectively. She currently works for NCR Corporation as a software engineer.
